We Stirred the Pot! Again!

The Rally for suspension of Impact Fees this past Tuesday was a huge success, in the sense our message to all elected officials that the construction industry, our communities’ economic generator, needs ACTion now! None of us expected they would go and vote this through, but it forced them to set up a task force and report back in 30 days. This allows us time to bring to the table other possible ideas that could result in the beginning of positive results.
Yes, it was cold, but sun was out and the thunder speeches roared. Big thanks to all who turned out with signs and hard hats. Especially John Loy, Sunbelt Rentals, for providing the generator, Maggie Mozingo, Precision Tool Supply, for the great TV interview, Carol & Ron Hull, Able Refrigeration, for the foresight to save me a seat in the Council Chamber, and of course our staff Monica, Laura and Suzette who make everything possible for you and me. A fellow has put the rally on YOUTUBE (Here is a link to both the long (just under 4 minutes) and the short (just over 1 minute) of the video: LONG SHORT) so if you missed it you can see all the
“Mad Lithuanians”…never knew there were so many. Hope to see you at next Wednesday’s membership meeting…there’s still some thunder left.
Also Thank you Erika Jensen of Glass Blasters for the
wonderful rendition of Star Spangled Banner.
