The Arizona Department of Transportation is issuing the following update for the Interstate 10 Widening project from Prince Road to 29th Street. This update includes changes to the weekly traffic alert schedule of closures.

St. Mary’s Road
The left lane and left-turn lane of eastbound St. Mary’s Road is scheduled to be closed tonight, Wednesday, May 7, 2008, from approximately 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning. St. Mary’s Road will NOT be closed in both directions at night on Wednesday, May 7, 2008, as previously scheduled.

Congress Street
Congress Street is scheduled to have a left-lane closure in both directions at night on Thursday, May 8, 2008, from approximately 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning INSTEAD OF Wednesday, May 7, 2008, as previously scheduled.

Construction Alert:
Rio Rico Drive and Ruby Road ramps closure on I-19


TUCSON: The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) will close the northbound and southbound ramps of the Rio Rico Road Bridge on Interstate 19 from 4 a.m. to 8 p.m., on Tuesday, April 29, to repave the ramps and bridge.

The Rio Rico Road Bridge is located between the Peck Canyon and Ruby Road Bridges. Drivers are advised to use these bridge ramps as alternatives.

ADOT will close the southbound ramp of the Ruby Road Bridge on Interstate 19 from 4 a.m. to 8 p.m., on Wednesday, April 30, to repave the ramp.

The Ruby Road Bridge connects State Route 289 on the west and E. Ruby Road on the east and is located between Rio Rico Drive and Grand Avenue. Drivers are advised to use these road ramps as alternatives.

Motorists are advised to watch for construction personnel and public safety officers and to obey all posted speed limit signs and detour routes while traveling through the construction area.

Construction Alert: State Route 86 near the Town of Sells

Tucson, Ariz. - The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) cautions motorists that blasting will occur this week as part of a project to widen State Route 86 nears Sells. The blasting will occur at 3:30 p.m., on Tuesday, April 29, between mileposts 115.5 and 116.5.

Surrounding the time of the blast, drivers can expect a 45-minute delay. ADOT crews will stop traffic at a safe distance in both directions for approximately 45 minutes; 15 minutes for the blasting activity and 30 minutes for the crews to remove and sweep debris. State Route 86 is expected to be fully reopened by 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday, April 29.

Motorists are advised to watch for construction personnel and public safety officers and to obey all posted speed limit signs and detour routes while traveling through the construction area.
